WW II Iron Man

Ronnie Del Carmen and I were both lucky enough to be asked to do variant Iron Man covers for Marvel. They're part of an alternate reality series of covers called "Iron Man By Design 2.0". Marvel assigned a cowboy theme to Ronnie and a World War II theme to me. I had a blast doing it. You can read some more about it on Comic Book Resources (and have a look at Ronnie's)

My cover variant will be for IRON MAN: LEGACY #3 on sale 6/23/10

Holy cow, Bill, this is one of the most exciting things I've seen in a while. It's both elegant and imaginitively stimulating.

Looks way cool Bill. Check that top Spitfire though it looks like it has 7 exhaust pipes! The V12 Merlin engines were 6 a side only!

I LOVE that there's a girl painted on him just like they used to do to old planes, this is AWESOME!

This is a beautiful take on the Iron Man theme. Completely Bill Presing. Ronnie's is awesome, too. Did Marvel give you complete freedom within the WW2 theme?
